My great grandfather was John Carl Julius Hanssen came to US from Germany in late 1800's. Brothers Carl Jacob Wolf Hanssen, Conrad Carl Wolf Hanssen, Heinrich Christian Wolf Hanssen, atty. at law (died 1869), sister Marie Dorethea, and Wilhemina. Goes back to Hans Lohndorf Freeholder in Wankendorm Estate Dezlnan Kirchspid, 1670- son Hans, changed Hans to Hanssen. Also Johan Wolf, a Blacksmith in Oldenwarden, 1640-1670

Need more info from tree still in Germany. My dad had cousins in Germany before WWII. He is Frederick W. Other cousins in U.S. include Henry, Otto, and many others. Would like to find any distant cousins in Germany.
