This is a general appeal for help. My gg-grandfather was Frank(Francis Marion) Hanson. I am trying to find out if Philip Hanson was his father or grandfather. Phillip came to MS and in 1840 applied for acreage in Holmes, Yazoo and Sharkey/Issaquena Counties. If anybody has a connection between Frank and Phillip Hanson, please contact me. Some of Frank's relative's were John, Lewis, Ben and William who lived in Holmes and Yazoo County. I do know that Phillip was a Mason of Masonic Lodge 12 but that is all I know and it was located in Yazoo City, MS but there are no records since the town burned in 1904. Thanks for any help you might be able to give.
