I have never spent much time tracing Mary Sarah Hydes family but the Hyde family was in Virginia very early. I have that Mary's father and mother was Samuel Hyde and Elizabeth Saunders. I am sure though that William and Mary married in Virginia.
A few notes that I have on the Hyde family is that
(John Hyde the progenitor came to York County VA after 1650 and married Jane Hansford daughter of John Hansford and Elizabeth. (This daughter is not listed with their children that I have but maby she was older)
And that Mary Sarah Hyde had a brother Robert Hyde who married Jane Underwood.
And the icing on the cake is this one:
(It is claimed for the Hyde family that they were related to Edward Hyde, first Earl of Clarendon b.1609 d. 1674: Lord Chancellor of England 1658 and grandfather of Queen Annie and Queen Mary.
Another note is: Robert Hyde was of the grand jury in York Co.1692 with Robert Green, Ralph Graves, Seymour Powell, Philip Debnam and Henry Collier. James Hyde mentioned in 1690. Samuel Hyde and wife Elizabeth mentioned 1717. (His will 1738)
This is all I know about the Hyde family and none of it has been proved.
I think I may start researching it.
