Penny, William Hansford Jr.(who married Mary Sarah Hyde) was born May 3,1726 in Virginia and his father was William Hansford Sr.,born @1687 in VA. who married Sarah S. Sallis.
William Hansford Sr. was a son of Charles Hansford and Elizabeth Folliott York Co.VA.

William Hansford Jr. and his family went to Kentucky with
Capt.Billy Rush (Bush) and involved with the Boone Colony
William and Mary did not like it so went back to Shenandoah Valley where they died. Their older children William and Thomas stayed in Kentucky. After William Jr and Sarahs death, Benjamine went to Kentucky to live with his brother Thomas Hansford. Their son and daughter John and Sarah was raised by their cousin Benoni.
