Thelma's son Robert recently gave his DNA for Hansford research; his does not match up with any of the Hansford's of York County, but it does match up to other surnames originally from that area. I do know that Robert descends from "Benoni", who supposedly was a son of William Hansford Jr., and his wife, Mary Sarah or "Polly" Hyde. There always has been some confusion concerning him however, and it was thought he was their youngest child and left an orphan. They both died in 1779 of Smallpox. The plot thickens.
