"John "Henry" Steven Hansen, the son of John and Edith Hartle Hansen, was born on June 27, 1943 in Camp Blanding, FL. He lived in New Richland, MN until he was seven years old when he moved to Longview, WA. Henry graduated from Kelso High School in 1961. He moved to Kodiak, AK in 1967 to live and work. Henry was united in marriage to Libby Little on November 29, 1979 in Kodiak. After their marriage they remained in Kodiak and he continued working as a fisherman and a carpenter. In April of 1996 Henry moved to Dundee, MN with his family. He remained in Dundee and passed away there at his home on Wednesday, March 25, 2009 at the age of 65. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, billiards but most of all being a father to his three children.
Survivors include his wife, Libby Little of Dundee, MN; three children, Kirsten Hansen of Dundee, MN, Gunnar Hansen of Golden, CO, and Christian Hansen of Dundee, MN; parents John and Edith Hansen of Lake Stevens, WA; two brothers, Eric Hansen of Kodiak, AK and Craig Hansen of Friday Harbor, WA; two dogs, Francis & Eben and cat, Joey. He is preceded in death by his brother, Marc Hansen.
Funeral services will be held at First Lutheran Church, Dundee, MN at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, Arpril 1, 2009 with the Rev. Mark Yackle-Juleen and Rev. Don Short officiating. A gathering will be held following the service at Mike Hendel's farm."
