My G grandfather and family lived in Columbia (county) NY, living in/around New Lebanon, Chatham, Greenport in the 1890's through 1943. Johanna's maiden name was Johanson and they were married in Armenia, NY around 1889.
Children were Hans Frederick (b. 1895), Peter, Carrie, Lawrence and Ernest. I've seen it spelled both ways, the "ON" is what Hans 1895 carried forward...
Any help tracing back to Denmark, or locating distant relatives is appreciated in advance...
