Hanratty Family Genealogy Forum

Bob,
If that person was Peter, who was born around 1861, I might be able to pursue this to my Phildelphia's cousin who was related to Barney Hughes. His cousin, Mary Hughes, from Ireland, plans to visit him this summer. It's possible she might be able to link Kate and James to my father's side of the family. Incidentally, my father, who passed away 36 years ago, was mad at those Hanrattys who changed the spelling of their names. I guess I was too young at that time to find out why or never pursued it. The Hanrattys kept a lot of dark secrets that we'll never know. Meanwhile, I'm having trouble with this genealogy website and trying to correct it. My email address is jfhirish@comcast.net. By the way, are there any living Hanrattys around Rochester that can link up our descendants between Dundalk and Crossmaglen? The townland in Crossmaglen is Rathkeelan. My father's farm is still there and my second cousin lives there. I appreciate your info, and hopefully get more. Thanks.
Jack
