My grandfather was born 1878 Church Point, Nova Scotia. His brother Thomas was born 1880. Their father John, after his wife died in 1891 moved to United States. The children were boarded out with other families. By the 1901 Census my grandfather "Bernard" is listed but his brother Thomas is missing.I did see a listing for a Thomas Handrahan in a newspaper account of an Acadian Reunion held in Boston in 1904. I still have not found him. Is it possible that this Thomas married and was the father of your grandfather born in 1905???? My grandfather was a candy maker by trade and later worked on electric street cars. He never did see his brother Thomas again. Could there be a connection with this family????? Please reply.
