Gonna ask a dumb question.. so bear with me ... his death certificate did not say who his parents were? I am assuming here ... cause the two in the 1860 census (Patrick and Ellen) had 6 boys from what I can find .. John and Robert (not Rubert) born in England, Nicholas, Andrew, Charles and James all born in Wisconsin, and these I have been able to trace through Iowa. So I'm beginning to think that perhaps your Andrew's parents may not be the one's in the 1860 census record.
Those two arrived in the U.S. from England in 1848.
Isn't this fun !!!??? actually I really enjoy the search, and love to help others find a way through their "brick walls", of which I still have several myself.
Kathy
