Margaret Cynthia Hannegan, daughter of James Michael Hannegan and Margaret Catherine Malone. The father of James was Daniel Hannegan b ca 1785, mother Catherine Carroll b ca 1805 both from Ireland. Married approx 1820 in Ireland and immigrating into Upper Canada ca 1820 with their 3 oldest children, settling around Carleton County, Ontario. Shortly after their 11 child was born they migrated into US, settling around Cresco, Howard County, Iowa in the township of New Oregon. Daniel died 1869/70 with Catherine dying shortly after. James was the older brother of my GGrandfather, Daniel William. I would love to correspond with you further to share what we have on the Hannegan line. Welcome to my family. Alicemae
