Archimedes Hanan1810 Harrison CoKty<Or
Am seeking information of Archimedes Hanan, b 1810 Harrison Co Kentucky. Married in 1837 wife Ann Marie Van Winkle.
Given 2 year old daughter of Aaron Terry upon death of his wife Nancy Ann Brockway, and his remarriage.
Julia Ann Terry was taken West on 1847 Oregon Trail Wagon Train, and raised by the Hanan's as a daughter, who paid for her education, later married Joel Ketchum, who had gone West with his family on that 1847 Wagon Train.
Archimedes was Officer in Oregon Mounted Volunteer Calvary during the 1855-8 Oregon and Washington Indian wars, along with Julia's husband to be Joel. He may have also come East and served in the Kansas infantry during the Civil War? not proved.
Am trying to discover relationship of the Hanan's and Julia Ann Terry's parents, if any. They had no children of their own, but Julia Ann and husband Joel Ketchum named eldest son Archimedes, and 'Archie'went by the name of Hanan as well as Ketchum in Oregon territory.
Any Information would be appreciated.
Sincerely,
Suzanne L Haney
