I have unconfirmed info that LITTLEJOHN SMITH (c. 1770 SC -- c. 1845-49 Lauderdale Co. MS) married ELIZABETH (HANNA?) (c. 1793 GA or SC? -- aft. 1851 Lauderdale Co. MS ? lka).

Their children:

1.       ANN H. NANCY SMITH (my ancestor) (c. 1808 GA - 1850-56 Lauderdale Co. MS) m. Wilson Henderson (c. 1805 Maury Co. fka Wilkinson Co.? TN -- c. 1876-80 Lauderdale Co. ? MS).

2.       (female Smith) ( -- aft. 1850) m. Yancy M. Edwards ( -- aft. 1850)

3.        Jane Smith

4.       Elizabeth Smith (c. 1823 MS -- aft 1850 ), m. Absalom L. Scarborough (c. 1818 MS -- aft 1850).

5. John Smith

6. Mariah Smith (c. 1831 MS -- aft. 1880 San Saba Co., TX lka), m. Coleman Jolly (c. 1823 GA - aft 1880 San Saba Co. TX lka)

7. Edward Smith (c. 1834 -- ).

I also have LJS on

1840 Lauderdale Co. MS census p. 58,
1841 tax list Lauderdale Co.
1845 tax list Lauderdale Co.

Widow Elizabeth married Solomon Newsom c. 1849 and appeared on 1850 Lauderdale census as wife of Newsom, p. 334. Apr 1851 she filed final account as widow administrator of LJS estate. Neither Elizabeth nor Solomon has been found on 1860 census.

I would be very interested in any info on Elizabeth (Hanna?) Smith Newsom, her first husband Littlejohn Smith, her second husband Solomon Newsom, her parents, who were reportedly Choctaw,and her children.
