Am seeking information on the REAL paternal name of a line of Hannahs.
There was an Elizabeth/Lecia Hannah born in Old Fort, TN in 1866 and died after 1930 in Georgia (possibly in the Whitfield or Murray County area of Georgia). She never married, but had a son Edwin. She gave Edwin her last name of HANNAH. I do not know who Edwin 'Hannah's' dad was. Edwin Hannah was born in Murray County, Georgia, on 23 June 1892 and died in January of 1976.
Edwin was married to a Carrie Elizabeth Charles who was born in Ellijay, Gilmore County, Georgia on 30 August 1900 and died in January of 1984. Edwin and Carried had a son, Charles Edwin Hannah who married Mary Ruth Thomas.
