Hi Barbara,

We are researching the Hanna family from Middle
Smithfield, Bucks/ Northampton/ Monroe Co., Pa.

Don't know where in Ireland he came from, we're not even
sure when he came over. There was a lady I talked to in the
early 1990's that was sure he was the Robert who came over
about 1739, was in New York and New Jersey for a while then
settled in Pa. She was going to send me copies of her
research (I'd sent what we had at the time) but never heard
back from her.

Three of John and Margaret's children were baptized in the
Dutch Reformed Church in Smithfield:

HOUWY, John Margriet
MOLLHOLAN, Margriet Aug 23,`1747

HOUWY, John Boudewyn
MOLLHOLLAN, Margaret July 9, 1749

Spon: Boudewyn VAN DER SIP and Themse ENGETTANT

HOUWYE, John Isabel
MULHOLLEN, Margaret Juny 5, 1752

Spon: Nicholas DUPUY and Wyntie DUPUY

One in the Walpack Dutch Reformed Church, Walpack, Sussex Co., N Jersey,

HOUWY, John John
M'HOLLEN, Margriet 11 August 1745

Spon: John KEALLY and Ellonar Mollhallon

Do you know when John Howey died?

Mar
