The Chariton Leader, Chariton, Iowa
Saturday, January 5, 1905

With the beginning of the new year the offices whose terms of office had expired stepped down and out and the new officers were duly installed. County Recorder T.H. MAXWELL is succeeded by A.J. HOLMES. MR. MAXWELL is undecided as to his future intentions but will assist MR. HOLMES in the office until that gentleman becomes thoroughly acquainted with his duties. MR. E.M. WELLS retired from the Clerk's Office only to assume the duties of County Attorney, to which he had been elected, succeeding E.W. DRAKE. G.F. CARPENTER is the new County Clerk and is being assisted by J.M. HANLIN who has been employed in the office for some time. T. HOGUE ROBERTS is the new member of the Board of Supervisors, succeeding G.W. LARIMER. L. MANNING was re-elected to the office of Justice of the Peace and E.H. STORIE takes the place of W.S. LONG. JOHN LUNDEEN is a new Constable and H.C. WAYNICK was re-elected to that office.
