Elisha Wright, son of John Dunham Wright and Celia Hanks was born in Pleasant Grove Township, Des Moines County, Iowa on March 27, 1844. He married Margaret Ellen Newland April 8, 1866 in Marshall County, Iowa. Elisha and Margaret are in the Wilson County, Kansas census in 1880.
