I am doing my family tree with my cousin, aunts and mother. My father passed when I was young and I had/have no connections to his side of the family. I know nothing about my Hanks line and I am very over whelmed by the amount of information is out there.
The information I have is my grandfather was Horace Willard Hanks. I have no clue his his parent were or his siblings. He had 3 children two girls and a boy (Melody, Theresa, and Kenneth Willard (1954-1993). He was in the military (I believe the Navy) and was stationed down the West Coast. He was married to Echo Mae Brooks (divorced) and then married Ann M. I believe he has/had siblings around Century FL where he lived and died.
My grandmother had told my mother that I have a distant grandfather name John, but by looking at the family tree John was a very popular name (but was said to be closely related to Nancy Hanks-Lincoln). I am not sure how accurate this is, but with what I have it's something to go on.
Any direction would help or any information that can be given. Thanks in advance.
