I'm trying to figure out the family of Louisa Keeney, daughter of Michael Keeney & Susannah Rawls. Ive found the same children listed for two different John & Louisa Hancks (Hanks). 1. Louisa Keeney b. about 1813 in Lincoln County, KY or VA and d. after 1880 in MO, m. about 1832-35 in VA to John M. Hancks b. about 1808 in VA and d. 1850-1860 in Osage County, MO. 2. John Hanks b. about 1800 in Pittsylvania, VA and d. 1858 in MO, m. Jul 25, 1832 in Pittsylvania, VA to Louisa N. Rossen b. about 1801 in VA and d. 1889 in Camden County, MO. The children are: 1. John F. b. 1837 VA 2. Joseph William b. 1839 VA, m. Sep 11, 1862 Miller County, MO, Martha Livingston 3. Wadkins b. 1841 MO 4. Frederic b. May 9, 1842 MO, d. Jan 16, 1940 Eldrige, Laclede, MO, m. Mary E. Unknown 5. James b. 1843, MO 6. Silas b. Feb 14, 1845 Osage County, MO, d. Jan 14, 1893, Linn Creek, Camden, MO, m. Dec 24, 1865 Miller County, MO, Susan Samantha Wheeler b. 1849 MO (daughter of T.B. Wheeler) 7. John M. b. 1848 MO, m. Aug 13, 1871 Miller County, MO, Mary Clow 8. Benjamin Franklin b. 1855 MO, m. Aug 27, 1876, Chariton County, MO, Martha McCart 9. Leander A. b. 1856 MO, d. 1935 Camdenton, Camden, MO, m. 1880 Camden, MO, Josephine Bunch b. Sep 1860 KS, d. May 26, 1939 Sikeston, Scott, MO 1850 Census for Washington, Osage, MO - Louisa is by herself with the first seven children. Where is John? Two more Hanks children are born after 1950. 1860 Census for Richwood, Miller, MO - Louisa is with five of her children and married to T.B. Wheeler with his six children. 1870 Census for Osage, Camden, MO - Louisa is by herself, listed as a widow, using the Hanks name and has John M., Frederic, Benjamin & Leander with her. Did she divorce T.B. Wheeler? A T.B. Wheeler married Sarah Jackson Oct 8, 1871 in Miller County, MO. 1880 Census Osage, Camden, MO - Louisa is living with her son, Leander, who is listed as head of household with Daniel Hanks - 16, who is listed as Leander's nephew. Who are the parents of Daniel? This is information I have pieced together and I'm hoping someone can help me sort it out for the facts. All information, additions or corrections will be appreciated.
