Contacted recently by a descendant of James Stewart Hanks indicating a 25 marker match to my Hanks family test results. I am a descendant of Luke Hanks>George Hanks>Matthew E. Hanks, etc.
James Stewart Hanks, b. 15 Apr 1805 KY, d. aft. 1880. He married Rose Hannah McMullen in Gibson Co., IN in 1823.
Research indicates James Stewart Hanks is the son of Wm. Hanks, the Minister, son of Peter Hanks III, and brother of Peter IV.
Wm. Hanks b. <1770> PA or VA, d. Feb. 17, 1825, Princeton, IN, married Mary [Anderson or Stewart]. b 21 Jan 1771, VA, d. Aug 1856. Bothed interred, McCurdy Cemetery, Gibson Co., IN
