Two Hanks brothers came to the Colonies...Thomas b. c 1625 and Joseph b. c.1630. Joseph settled in Massachusetts Bay Colony with a son, Benjamin b. 1665 Eng. Benjamin married Abigail Heiford and they had about 12 children...(.More info if you want) Benjamin's son, John b. 1709 married Sarah Evans b 1734.(More info) JOhn's son, Joseph b. 1740, married Nancy (Ann) Shipley b 1745. Their dau. was the Nancy Hanks b. 1784 that married Thomas Lincoln Meanwhile, Thomas b.c.1625 was in Virginia and married Elizabeth Lee. Two of their sons were.. William b.c.1650, and Peter b.1682. William c1650s m Sarah Woodbridge and they had William b. 1679, Luke (I) b. 1680s, John b. aft 1687. Luke married Elizabeth (Glascock or Turner). They had, Luke (II), Dawson, Alexander, Lucretia, Ann, George, Joseph, Sarah, Turner, James, Abraham, Moses, Thomas and Martha. Luke Hanks II married Ann (Nancy)Dale or Harris, and they had.....Elizabeth, Nancy, Martha Ann, Thomas, Luke III, George, Susan, Lucretia, Robert, Judith, John, Priscilla.
