Thank you so much, Robert, for the pension application info.
I don't know anything about the spouses of John J.'s sisters and can only guess about what appears from the census records to be two missing brothers, but I think the 1830 census info I just sent may provide some clues.It is possible that the "Indian War" Isham was a son of John B.He'd be too old to be the son of John J.; this Isham married Melissa Rollins.I'll have to track the pension information down.
Interestly enough, there was an Isham Haney in 1830 Macon County, NC about age 70 to 80, certainly old enough to be John B.'s father, and possible grandfather to a John B. son, named Isham.
