Haney's at Sandy Run Baptist Church in 1800's, Rutherford Co NC
I was recently in Forest City NC at the Hist Soc there, and found a booklet about Sandy Run Baptist Church.
It was the only Baptist church in the area in the late 1700's, and drew a large number of people from as far as SC, east to King's Mountain as well as north of the area.
I made notes of HANEYs and related names who were shown on the rolls there:
This church was on Chestnut Log Creek which crossed the Meeting House Branch. It is now in Cleveland Co, since the boundaries between Rutherford Co and Cleveland changed.
Some members on the female list include HANEYs and related women:

(Don't know what rest means!)
This was Anabaptist church.I think when they wanted to go to another church or were moving, they had to request a letter for the new church.DIS means dismissed, usually because of relocating.
If you need further info, you can probably write to the HS in Forest City or to the HS in Shelby NC, the county seat for Cleveland Co. NC.
