I have been able to locate a family tree for Celia Roundtree, but have virtually nothing on the family of Elijah Hanes.
The following is what I have:
Elijah Hanes
b. August 21, 1798, Fayette County, Georgia
d. Unknown - Most likely in Blount County, Alabama
m. abt. 1819 - Celia Roundtree
Celia: b. abt. 1802 Wayne County, N. Carolina
d. August 22, 1862, Blount County Alabama
Census records for 1850 Blount County Alabama, show that Elijah and Celia owned a large farm and were slave owners.
Joshua Hanes aka: Joshua Andrew Jackson Hanes, the son of Elijah & Celia is my ancester.
Joshua Hanes was a confederate soldier who held the rank of private in the 28th Regiment of Alabama Infantry.
Joshua m. Margaret Haden on October 6, 1857 in Blount County, Alabama.
The above is all the information that I have re the Hanes family.
