Marion, do you have any male relatives with the surname of Hanes? If you do, maybe you could get interested parties to help with the cost of the Hanes DNA. I am planning on doing that. It would need to be at least a 37 marker. The Hanes/Haines/Haynes project was just started this year. If you do, make sure it is through Family Tree DNA Project. If we could get enough interested, that can trace their roots, and are a match to us, it would really help in our research also.
