I noticed this week that familytreeDNA.com now has 17 Hanes/Haines/Haynes participants. There were none the first of the year. I am familiar with this, because we have had my husband's Thornton line done, also did a fund raiser to get a distant relative to do one for my ggrandmothers line, which was the same sur name as my husbands.(they are not a match, but it has connected us with a match that has given us a lot more info to work with.
It is best to do the 37 marker or better yet the 56(?)marker. My maiden name was Hanes, so now I am working on my relatives to participate.
