Hi Again Mike,
I would like to correct Thurston's death date I gave you it should be 21 Jan 1958,according to North Carolina Death Collection Records 1908-1990. I also found A World War I Draft Registration Card Record 1917-1918 for Thurston Tites Hanes, Davidson Co,NC,Born 1 MAR 1880 age 35 his occupation was a farmer and self employed. His nearest relative was his wife Mrs. T.T.Hanes. It also states he was of medium build, had blue eyes and black hair and he signed it Thurston Tites Hanes. I also went back to the census's to see what I could find. So here it is:
1. In the 1910 census I gave you Duff it should read Duffie B.. I also gave you Harvey it should be Hardey D. the ages are the same.
2.In the 1880 NC-Yadkin College-Davidson Census it shows Thurston 3 months old. His father was John C. Hanes age 33 a farmer and his mother Nancy age 29 and a sister named Dora age 9.
3. In Davidson County Marriage Records I found a Marriage date of 20 FEB 1868 for a John C. Hanes and Nancy Temples.
4.I think (no proof) that Jonh C.'s father was also John Hanes and his mother was Rebecca ?? and were fom Surrey Co.,NC. Well Buddy sorry for the mistakes but my notes get kind of goofed up sometimes. I sincerely hope this helps you out.Please feel free to contact me directly if you would like.
