Hi.
My name is Andrew Hane.I am a student at the University of Missouri-Columbia.I am 20 years old.I just stumbled across this posting.I believe the people you are tallking about are somehow related to me.Bucklin Missouri is about 15 miles from my home town of Brookfield. There is a Swedish Lutheran Church North of Bucklin at which many of my relatives are buried. The church has a service annually on the 1st Sunday of August. Many people there are very interested in genealogy and traceing families back to "the old country."We just had some old church board minutes translated from Swedish. And more translations of other records are on the way.I am told that Bucklin was one of the first stops for the Swedes coming from Chicago. (I think it was Chicago). Many of them stayed to work on the railroad, while some left for Linsbourge (pardon the spelling) Kansas. My dad has more information about our family.I know that I was named after my fourth-great grandfather Andrew Fredrick Hane who came over from Sweden and is burried in the cemetary at the North Swede Lutheran Church.I believe my great-great and great gandfathers are buried there as well as my grandfather Arnold Hane Jr.
Wayne Amen is the President of the Church Board and has a lot of information. My Dad, David Hane is the treasurer. Both of them live in Brookfield. My dad is the Chief of Police although I am not sure what Wayne does.Alberta (Hane) Walker--my dad's cousin--is the secretary but she lives in Iowa. Many people have information about the Hanes and what happened to us since Bucklin.I do not know for sure of much before that.Any information is appreciated and I will be glad to help or send information from my father.
Thanks,
Hope to hear from someone,
Andrew (Drew) Hane
