Hello again Jed:
Your advice about the N.B. line spelling their name as HANSELPACKER is borne out by the phone listings under - www.canada411.com - of the 8 surnames shown, 6 live around Harvey Station, York Co, NB while teh other two are not that far away, at St. George, Charlotte County. This makes perfect sense geographically, since the other brother Phillip likely sailed across the Bay of Fundy, and either settled at St. George itself, or made his way inland up the Magaguadavic River via the string of lakes (Utopia near St. George, then Oromocto, Magaguadavic, then to Harvey Lake).
By the way, I do not use a real e-mail address as you suggested in your reply to me last year. This is not to be malicious or deceitful in any way; I do not have direct connections to this line and am only "passing through" occasionally while doing other research. My intent is to try to augment existing information if and when I have something to add. I have quite a large database on many different names which I have collected over many years of researching. When I can, I am more than happy to add a 'snippet' of info as I traipse through the forest of genealogy.

"Generations", news magazine of the New Brunswick Genealogical Society, is published quarterly with a circulation of 1,000 copies. It publishes queries. Queries should be brief and to-the-point. Charge per query is CAN$1ºº (US65¢) for NBGS members and CAN$2ºº (US$1.30) for non-members. Charlotte County Historical Society, P.O. Box 83, St. Andrews, NB CANADA E0G 2X0. Charlotte County Archives in Saint Andrews, NB has copies of mostly all St. George cemeteries. They would probably look up what you wanted to know. As they operate on a shoestring budget, a donation to cover copying and postage would definitely be welcome.
Grand Manan Island surnames - names very specific to G.M. Island - http://www.members.tripod.com/KenCarrico - good LINKS to Digby County, Nova Scotia (just acrosss the Bay of Fundy), and other related websites. "The Grand Manan History", Vol 29, 34, 35, 36 says James Sprague & his half brother Abiel Sprague and Joel Bonney were constant travelling companions. In 1779, they settled on Grand Manan Island. They were so harrassed by local Indians that they left a year later. In the spring of 1780, they moved over to Passamaquoddy, where Bonney had lived some years before. On 28 March 1784, Bonney received a grant of land at Digdeguash, New Brunswick. Bonney River received its name from him. He was an ardent Loyalist and remained in NB several years, then removed to Portland, Maine. One of his later descendants was William Bonney, known in the USA as the gunslinger "Billy the Kid".
