I am searching my late father's history. His name was Philip Henry Hancox and he was born on 7th October 1923 in Kingstanding (at home). He went to a Grammar School in Birmingham somewhere and left around 1949 to join the Navy in Australia. His father's name was Philip Henry Hancox also(brewers drayman) and mother's name Dorothy Davies (born 1906 or 07). I am interested in tracing his father's family back theough Birmingham history. If anyone can give me any information it would be appreciated as I am finding it hard to research from Australia.
