I have now traced my family tree back through to my namesake, Richard Hancox b C1816, who married a Louisa Griffiths and had sons William b C1841 and Daniel b 1843 in Dudley Wood. Richard's parents were I believe William Hancox and Sarah (?), and he seems to have had about 10 siblings.
Richard was living with his family at 27 Mushroom Green from 1841 until 1871.
I wonder if anyone out there may be connected to this line?
I would be interested to hear from you if you are.
