Am hoping that someone may be able to help me find out more about the Hancock side of my family. If any of the following information sounds familiar to you please do not hesitate to get in touch.

The Hancocks originate in Burnham and East Burnham Buckinghamshire in my family, they are also joined by the Plumridges (who are step children in the family).

Joseph Hancock b.1802 in Burnham Bucks, worked as a Agricultral labourer. He married Ann Plumridge (her first married name) in 1845. She had 6 children when she married my GGG grandfather Joseph with whom she had another 2 known children.

James Hancock the eldest b. 1846 in Burnham bucks also. He married Emma (possibly Horton) in 1864. I believe that James may have passed away in 1904.

Elizabeth (Besty) Hancock (my GG grandmother) b.1848 in Burnham, Bucks. Known to be a servant in 1861 census. She later married William Joseph Hazell in 1868. Together they had 7 known children.

If you have any information reguarding the ancestors of Joseph Hancock or anything about the decendants of James please get in touch, as i wold love to hear more of what happened to the rest of the Hancocks.

Jennie
