Kate was a THURMAN.
I'm trying to connect some Thurman women, supposedly daughters of a Fendall Thurman. These women married Hancock men of Albemarle Co.
Harriet Jeanette Thurman in the 1870 Va Census mar'd David E Hancock.
Katherine Thurman mar'd Dr. Charles Hancock in the 1860 census.
The Hancock boys were brothers, along with Gustavus.
I think these two girls were sisters. Supposedly Harriet was dau. of Fendall C. Thurman and Ann Royster.
Both Thurman girls were b. Tenn., per census notes. Both b. abt the same time (~1837 or so).
Can anyone help?
