Charles Hancock of Albemarle Co., VA + Kate Thusman

Charles b. abt 1830 in Va., mar'd Kate Thusman, b. abt 1835 in Tn., settled around Charlottesville. I have some questions about this family concerning census entries.

Kate/Katherine's parents (unk. now) were b. Va.

And, I need to know Charles' linage, and if/how he's connected to some Hancocks in Craig/Botetourt Cos., Va.

Their dau. Jeanette E Hancock mar'd Minor Botts Lewis (who has connections to old Va. families) and moved to Clifton Forge, Va., where he published a daily newspaper.
