James, Frank, Jesse, Maggie, Lizzie Hancock (Worth Co. Ga)

I'm trying to trace my Hancock line and am at a standstill for now. If anyone can point me in the right direction I'd appreciate it.
My grandfather was James Lawrence Hancock. His obit as follows:

Transcribed from the Columbus Enquirer, Columbus GA,
Thursday March 16, 1961-
James Lawrence Hancock, 68, 604 10th St. died at 6:20 a.m. Thursday at his home following a short illness.
He had lived here for the past 45 years, and was a retired Muscogee County employee. Hancock was a veteran of World War I and a member of the Mount Hermon Lodge of Masons.
He was born in Worth County, GA, May 20, 1892.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Edith Hancock, Columbus; a daughter, Mrs. S. J. Porter, Columbus; a son, James L. Hancock Jr., U. S. Air Force, Hawaii; two sisters, Mrs. Maggie Kimsey, Jennings, Fla., and Mrs. Lizzie Taylor, Green Cove Springs, Fla.; two brothers Frank and Jess Hancock, both of Jasper, Fla.

As far as I know, the parents of James, Frank, Jesse, Maggie, and Lizzie were JW (James William?) Hancock and Matildie Janie Willis. These spellings may not be correct and I have no information on their place or date of birth or death.
I find it interesting that all of the brothers and sister with the exception of James ended up in Fla, and that my father and grandfather may have been somewhat "estranged" from the family.

My parents attended a Hancock family reunion in Worth County several years ago and none of the Worth Co. Hancocks were able to link us together. My parents also did a records search at the courthouse (or was it the library?) and were unable to locate any records. My understanding is that these records might actually be located in the genealogy room at the library in Albany. I live close enough to Albany and Sylvester that I could pop up there and do my own research if someone could give me an idea if that's the place to start. Of course, if these names are familiar I'd love to hear from you as well!
