I am trying to find identification & information on ancestors of my paternal grandfather, Guilford Ottovon Hancock, Sr.
He was born on April 23, 1905, in Bell Buckle, Bedford, Tennessee. He married Mary Catherine Waggonner on March 19, 1927. He died on July 28, 1985, in Decatur, Dekalb County, Georgia.
The 1910 Census places him in Craighead County, Arkansas.
He was there with his father Charlie Hancock,
The 1920 Census places hinm also in Craighead County, Arkansas.
According to the census data, his father was Charlie (Charles) Hancock and his mother's name was Sammie.
In the 1920 Census, Sam W. Lowe lived with them in Craighead, Arkansas. At that time he was 71 (Born ca. 1849). He was the father of Sammie, Guilford Sr.'s mother.
I believe that in 1930, Charlie and Sammie were living in Coffee County, Tennessee.
