Dianne - I found the following in "The Descendants of Thomas Hanchett" - John Hanchett (David, John, John, John, Thomas), born at Suffield, CT 10 Sep 1766; died 3 Mqar 1796 at Johnston, Montgomery Co., NY. He married in 1786 at Suffield Jael Harmon daughter of John and Jael (Kent) Harmon. After John's death she married (2) Abner Thorp as his second wife, 26 Sept. 1796 in Montgomery Co. She must have died soon for he married (3) 12 Aug 1809 Sarah Osbun, Jael had five chiildren by Thorp; Abner, Lydia, Sarah, Daniel and Nancy. Birth dates for John and Jael's children were calculated from guardianship records.David, b. ca 1780; John b. ca 1797; Jael; Julia b. ca 1792Mary; Diantha, b. ca. 1796 at Glen, Montgomery Co., NY.
