Hello Chuck,

I've been researching the Hamsher family genealogy for almost ten years now. My mother's maiden name was Hamsher.

I just discovered your message today and am responding to tell you that your grandparents were Vernon Felty and Elva Hamsher. Vernon (Verne) was born on Sept 5, 1894 in Parsons, Labette County, Kansas. I don't know Elva's maiden name, but she was born around 1896 in Kansas. They were married around 1918, probably in Kansas. They moved to Missouri around 1923.

According to the 1930 census, they had only six children at that time: Maxine, Virginia, Freda, Greta, Charles, and Virgil.

I have a very large Hamsher database going back 350 years and can provide you additional information on your family tree if you like. Just send me an email and let me know what you're after and what format you would like the information.

You can contact me at teejaymcgrath@yahoo.com.
