My mother was a Hamre. She was born in Colton, SD.
Her parents were Andrew Simon & Grace Hamre. My Great
grandparents were Aad & Aadina Hamre. My mother was
Katherine Adina Hamre. She married my father, Harold Ball
in 1944 and I was born in 1945. Loren Amundson has researched the Hamres' and has a book coming out on them.
He has written 4 books(Google "Loren Amundson" for more
info). His grandmother Eveline and my grandfather Andrew
were brother and sister. He has traced our roots back to
Norway and Farm Hamre and has visited there. My great grand-mother was a Aker.
