Some time back I purchased an antique piece of furniture in the upper part of SC, near NC. In that piece of furniture was found a tin-type of a middle-aged man, seated with a crutch. Written on the paper cover of the tin-type is the following: "Dr. Lee Hampton, 1874". I am not related to the Hampton family. Some descendant may wish to know. Any idea as to who this person might be? Thanks.
