In reply to "thomas hampson llangynog wales" of February 17, 2002:
He would be our great grandfather's (Henry Hampson) brother. Lived at Myn-yr-Afon, Overton Bridge, Clwyd (about 5 miles from Wrexham on the banks of the river Dee). The name Dorothy Pearce is vaguely familiar from family history of that period (1880-1900).
Herbert Hampson (our grandfather) was the son of Catherine Hayward of Knolton and Henry Hampson.
Herbert's brothers were Walter, Andrew, Edgar and sister was Lill.
We know Thomas had two daughters.
We hope this is of interest and would pleased to receive any other information you might have.
Peter Hampson (Cambridge) and Cathy Rankin(Toronto).
