I am researching these families from the Wigan,Leigh,Lancs.UK areas.
Benjamin HAMPSON,a weaver,and Jane ORRELL married abt.1834
in Wigan.
Known children were:
Roger HAMPSON b.1851 in Tydesley.Immigrated to USA in 1870.
Ann HAMPSON b.1843-1844,married a BLUNDELL,was living with Roger in 1900 as a widow.
John HAMPSON,was living in Leigh in 1896.
Tom(Thomas)HAMPSON,was a grocer in Manchester,was known to be living in 1904.He visited USA with his brother-in-law in 1904.
Will(William)HAMPSON,living in UK prior to death in 1896.
Mary HAMPSON,no other info.
Jane HAMPSON b.abt 1850,married Thomas GREGORY abt. 1868,lived at 11 Twist Lane,Leigh area.
Jane and Thomas GREGORYs children were:
Roger GREGORY,died in 1900s,abt.20-25 yrs old.
Janet GREGORY b.abt.1879.
Alice GREGORY b. abt.1870,married Thomas PENNINGTON.
Bertha GREGORY,b.abt.1876,married John ALEXANDER.
Ethel GREGORY,b.abt.1880,married Daniel SMITH.
