My grandmother was Emma Hampson (b. 1868), and she married Victor Hampshire (b. 1863) in Oldham, Lancs. Her father was William Hampson (b. 1825) of Royton, and her mother was Mally Potter (b. 1833) of Oldham. They were married in Glodwick. William’s father was Ralph Hampson (b. 1797) and his mother was Betty (b.1799). We believe they were both from Royton. Mally’s father was John Potter (ca.1794) and her mother was Mary (ca. 1798).
