hello hampson's,i have looked down the message board and can't see anything relating to my branch of the family.i am searching for infomation about my ggrandmother hannah hampson, born 1867, breightmet, bolton, lancashire.she married john cockshord boothman on 16th january 1887 at the parish church of tongue-cum-breightmet, bolton, lancs.i know from the marriage certificate that her father was david hampson an overlooker in a cotton mill.i have searched the 1881 census and found them living at oakenbottom[lodgehouse], breightmet.on the census david gives his age as 46 and his place of birth as salford, lancashire. his wife was margaret, born tongue, lancashire age 42. in 1881 also at oakenbottom were william age 19, david age 17, hannah [my ggrandmother] age 14, seth age 11, francis ann age 9, sarah alice age 5, daniel age 2.any help on david, born salford approx 1835 or his marriage to margaret approx 1857/59 or infomation about the family would be very much appreciated.thanks martin hibbert, rotherham, south yorks.
