Robert, i am michael charles hammond, son of charles t (ellen whitmire), son of thomas L 1893 (etta jane floyd), son of william T 1858 (julia taylor), son of Daniel E 1834 (marie rowland), son of john (1806)(&martha)...???son of Wiliam 1777(?)(mary carter). John had a brother joseph lafayette who moved to floyd/chatooga county Ga. pretty sure that joseph is the son of William/Mary (not william cicero/milly(unless milly is nickname??)as the census of hall/forsyth counties Ga. lists them in the same areas. however, i have no paperwork validating the william/mary aspect. Extended families tended to move together at that time. 1834 ga. (hall) census details households for george, john sr, john jr, joseph, leroy, william, william sr, & milly??. this is rather lengthy, so post new if this is something of interest.
