Somehow, I am uncertain, but some Wilburns connect with these Hamon or Hammon families. Wilburn Amburgery was b in Russell Co VA. Just thought that I would drop you a note since Lewis Wilburn and his family appear to connect to some of the families that you are researching.

Lewis Wilburn m Susan Blevins. It is believed that he was born in Amherst Co Va c 1770. He later lived in Wilkes NC before 1800 and later still in Claiborne Co TN and was in Knox Co KY by 1850. He had a grandson named Norvell Wilburn and I believe that this given name connects to the Norvell family who also appear in Amherst VA and later still in Claiborne TN.

I enjoy reading your postings. Thanks much for your knowledge.

Vikky Wilburn Anders
