Hello
Thanks so much for the information about Johnson Hammack and
Absolom Echols. This is very interesting. Do you know what year Absolom Echols was killed? My ancestor was Jane echols who married Solomon Ray in 1796 in Wilkes co Ga. I am trying to find who her parents were. Solomon Ray died in 1813 in Jasper co Ga. You mentioned that John Hammack lived in Jasper co Ga also. Absolom Echols lilved in Jasper co Ga too. A Lewis M Hammock signed as surety for the marriage of Jane Echols and Solomon Ray. He was the son of a Robert Hammock. Solomon Ray and Jane Echols always seemed to live in the same counties that Milner and Absolom Echols lived in when they lived in Georgia so I thought maybe Absolom Echols and Jane were related somehow. Milner Echols was Absolom Echol's brother. Lewis M Hammock might have just lived close to Solomon Ray is the reason he signed as surety for their marriage or maybe he was related somehow. Any info appreciated. Thanks,Ross
