Dan,

I am so sorry it has taken me this long to answer your inquiry, I came to a brick wall on the family so I started searching another relative.
According to my book, James Hammett b. 1780 and Anna Brockman had ten children, Polly, Louisa, Susan, Sally, Capunder, Missouri, 3 others unknown names, but only one son, John Henry, named for his two grandfathers. James b. 1780 seved as representative from Spartenburg County, to the General Assembly of 1816-1818. He moved to Frenklin County, GA, ca. 1822. Anna died ca. 1826 and on Aug. 17, 1828 he married Sarah Tate. Children: Alvin Dean, Hamilton M. James C., Malinda, Henrietta, Mary E. and William H. Could John Henry be the Henry you're looking for? Donna
