James Hammett b. 1780, d. liv., age 80 1860C, Walton Co., GA., married Anna Brockman ca 1800 S.C., d.ca 1826, Franklin Co., GA, daughter of Henry and Susannah (Patterson) Brockman of Greenville dist. Had ten children, but only one son, named John Henry for his two grandfathers.
Moved to Franklin Co., Georgia, ca. 1822. Anna Brockman died ca. Sept. 1826. (Information from the Henry Brockman Family History) On August 17, 1828, he married Sarah Tate, daughter of James Tate, of Franklin Co. Georgia, they had seven children.Annas oldest sister Amelia married Thomas Campbell.
1832 - Cherokee Land Lottery, James Hammett drew Lot 322, Tenth District, Second Section, Later part of Lee County, 161 acres.

and Miss Delphine Miller.
I am searching for information on the death of Eliza Young, daughter of Martha Hammett Young and James Young. She was born abt. 1855 South Carolina. She married Tilman H. Martin 1870-1873. Both of them died around 1893, possibly in Georgia. They left 9 orphans, four of them
adopted out. I would love to know why they both died around the same time and where they are buried. This is my BRICK WALL!
