I have some information on William Hammel. In addition to sons, William and Gerald, he had a daughter Lora, born 6-3-1898. William was the son of Andrew Hammel and Elizabeth Specht Bauer. Andrew has born 11/1/1834 in Hessenstahl, Germany and died 8/17/1913. He is buried in Walker Cemetery, New Martinsville, WV. William's mother, Elizabeth Specht Bauer was born 1/29/1838 in Switzerland and died 10/30/1892. She is also buried in Walker Cemetery. William had 6 siblings: Catherine (my grandfather Joseph John Cutshaver is her son), John Konrad, George, Elizabeth Caroline, David Andreas, and Frederick.
